Full Joy

Jesus said in John 15:11, “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.”

That is the goal of Jesus in union. His joy in us. Our joy made full.

This joy is resilient because it comes from Christ Himself. It does not originate from external circumstances. It carries His peace, His confidence, and His triumph into the hearts of those who trust Him.

This is why someone can ask, “Why are you so happy all the time?” Because there is a joy that lives deeper than the moment.

Psalm 30:5 says, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

• David’s life shows this pattern. He faced betrayal from his own family. He was exposed in his sin. He walked through national crisis, famine, consequences, and pain. Yet he kept returning to the Lord and finding joy in strengthening, victory, and salvation.

Nehemiah 8:10 says, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”

James 1:2-4 says to count it all joy when we meet trials of various kinds, because the testing of faith produces steadfastness. And when steadfastness has its full effect, we become complete and lacking nothing.

• Joy is rooted in the truth of our situation. We are saved. We are set apart. We have divine promises that cannot be stolen from us. This present moment will never overshadow the goodness of God toward us.

The world offers escape and calls it joy. Jesus offers genuine change and gives a full portion of unescaping joy.

So return to joy. Return to Jesus.

Ask Him to reveal what you have connected yourself to that promised joy and never delivered. Surrender it. Receive salvation. Abide in His Word. Abide in His love.

Jesus gives what the soul is actually looking for. His joy can be in you. Your joy can be full.
