Fruit That Proves Who We Follow

Jesus said in John 15:8, “By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.”

Fruit matters because fruit reveals connection.

When our lives are in union with Jesus and producing fruit, they testify to the master plan of God. They show His goodness. They glorify Him in the world.

The fruit of the Spirit comes because we are attached to Him. You become what you feed on.

Galatians 5 shows us that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. That fruit guarantees different actions. Different actions bring different results.

If you track back bad moments, they almost always point back to the fruit of the flesh. Our own

desires. Our own reactions. Our own plans.

There is a line that says, “We don’t negotiate with terrorists.” For many of us, the greatest terrorist to our own future is ourselves. Our flesh will sabotage the very thing God is trying to build. That is why union with Christ matters.

A change in the heart leads to a change in the life, and that change brings glory to the Father. It proves who we follow.

Where anger used to come out, patience begins to show up. Where fear used to drive the moment, faith begins to rise. Where escape used to be the response, obedience begins to take its place.

Our actions and reactions prove who we are in union with.

You are not what you have been forgiven of. You are absolutely what you keep doing.

That statement should sober us. Forgiveness is real. Mercy is real. Grace is real. And the fruit of our lives still reveals what is actually shaping us.

Jesus said we prove to be His disciples by bearing much fruit.

A disciple of Jesus cannot stay hidden forever. A life shaped by Christ becomes impossible for the world to ignore.

Your actions reveal what is actually shaping your life.

Stay attached to Jesus until His fruit becomes visible in you.
