His Tabernacle is a non-denominational, Spirit-filled church. Here is what we hold to be true — drawn from Scripture and affirmed by this congregation since 1998.
We are a Pentecostal church that holds to the full authority of Scripture, the finished work of Jesus Christ, and the present-day work of the Holy Spirit. These are not abstract doctrines — they are the living reality we preach, experience, and build our lives on.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God — the final authority for all matters of faith and practice. Every doctrine we hold is grounded in and accountable to Scripture.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 · 2 Peter 1:20–21We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, each is distinct, and each is equally worthy of our worship and obedience.
Matthew 28:19 · 2 Corinthians 13:14We believe Jesus is fully God and fully man — conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, was raised bodily from the dead, and is now exalted at the right hand of the Father.
John 1:1,14 · Philippians 2:6–11 · 1 Corinthians 15:3–4We believe humanity was created in the image of God but fell through voluntary transgression. As a result, sin and death entered the world — and every person stands in need of redemption through Jesus Christ.
Genesis 3 · Romans 3:23 · Romans 5:12We believe salvation comes through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is entirely by grace, through faith — not by works. Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Ephesians 2:8–9 · Romans 10:9–10 · Acts 2:21We believe sanctification is the ongoing process of being set apart from sin and consecrated to God. Following salvation, God continues transforming us into the image of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
1 Thessalonians 4:3 · Romans 12:1–2 · 2 Corinthians 3:18We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a distinct experience available to every believer — subsequent to salvation — and that the initial evidence is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
Acts 1:8 · Acts 2:4 · Acts 10:44–46We believe that speaking in tongues is the initial physical evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and that the gift of tongues continues today for the edification of the believer and the Church.
Acts 2:4 · 1 Corinthians 14:2,4We believe in water baptism by immersion as an outward expression of an inward transformation — a public declaration of death to the old life and resurrection to new life in Christ.
Matthew 28:19 · Romans 6:3–4 · Acts 2:38We observe the Lord's Supper as both a memorial of Christ's sacrifice and a prophetic proclamation of His return. We receive it regularly as an act of remembrance, covenant, and renewal.
Luke 22:19–20 · 1 Corinthians 11:23–26We believe the Church is the Body of Christ — called to evangelize the lost, worship God in Spirit and truth, and build believers to full maturity in Christ. His Tabernacle exists to fulfill this threefold mission.
Matthew 28:18–20 · Ephesians 4:11–13 · Acts 2:42–47We believe in divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry — apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers — given by God to equip the saints and advance His Kingdom on the earth.
Ephesians 4:11–12 · 1 Corinthians 12:28 · Acts 13:2–3We believe divine healing — physical, emotional, and spiritual — is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is available to every believer through faith and prayer.
Isaiah 53:4–5 · Matthew 8:16–17 · James 5:14–15We believe in the personal, physical, and imminent return of Jesus Christ. He will return before the millennium to catch away His Church, and ultimately reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 · Revelation 19:11–16 · Acts 1:11We believe in the literal, visible return of Jesus Christ to reign on earth for one thousand years. His reign will bring universal peace and fulfill God's covenant promises to Israel and the nations.
Revelation 20:1–6 · Isaiah 11:6–9 · Zechariah 14:9We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people — the saved to eternal life with God, and the unsaved to eternal separation from Him. The reality of eternity shapes everything we do.
