The number 8 is the number for NEW BEGINNINGS. This is without question that for His Tabernacle as we have entered our new building and getting ready to celebrate the 10 year anniversary.
It has been an exciting ride with Jesus as we have walked in obedience and through Him have watched God bring increase to the body. So many lives have been changed, not because of a man, but because of a great God who loves His kids and desires to change lives. There is no greater privilege than to be part of the God-plan. Thank you for the opportunity you have allowed us, your Pastor's to enjoy.
2007 closed with our first annual New Year's Eve service! Praise and worship were dynamic and many gave testimonies of how Jesus changed their lives. One family shared of a healed heart (physical), another of the healing process of their marriage, another of being delivered from an addiction, still another of financial and a total life change. There sure was a ton of shouting to give Jesus the glory. The Word that was preached was about just that, "New Beginnings", and how we cannot give up! That the devil might have romped you in 07, but that in 08, God will:
Deu 28:12 Jehovah shall open to you His good treasure, the heaven to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. And you shall loan to many nations, and you shall not borrow.
There are different seasons in our lives and some have been in winter for a time, but this is the season of NEWNESS. Declare the Word over your life, prophecy those things which are not as though they already are. It is time to stop being like the man at the pool in John 5, who sat there waiting for 38 years for someone to help him in the pool. Jesus asked him, "Do you want to be made well?” what do you want for 08, Jesus will give you what you ask. Stop laying beside the pool just waiting for someone, Jesus is here right NOW and it is a new season, new beginning.
Paul said it best,
Php 3:13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,
Php 3:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
DON'T GIVE UP! PRESS IN.
CONSISTENCY IS EVERYTHING.
We are still ministering of the Gifts of the Spirit and how they work in and through your life, do not miss another Sunday.
Our family usually goes on vacation during Daytona Bike Week, but this year we cannot. The reason is because Cody is in Math 3. If Cody misses a week of Math 3 he will fail the course because there will be no way to catch up. I want to encourage you to be faithful to the Kingdom of God. Each week we preach and teach not another sermonette, but we give equipment that will make you successful in this world and the world to come. Be faithful!!!!
Sign up for the 10 year anniversary bash!! http://www.histabernacle.com/tenyear.htm, do not miss it, a whole weekend of celebration and special guests.
